Speakers

Megan Phoenix, Knowledge Transfer Manager - for Investor Communities, Innovate UK KTN

Megan is a Knowledge Transfer Manager for Investor Communities in the Strategic Development directorate; she supports Innovate UK KTN to engage more widely with private investors for the goal of increasing private investment into UK innovation.

Before joining KTN, Megan worked at an accelerator supporting early-stage technology startups by providing pre-seed and seed funding as well as non-financial support to mission-driven founders. Megan gained a deep understanding of the typical profile of opportunities that private finance providers prefer to consider and ultimately invest in. Her role involved sourcing and screening applicants for investment, supporting the deal execution process through the construction of investment memos and due diligence, as well as helping portfolio startups to execute their growth plans and commercial strategies.
