Speakers 

Martyn Barmby, Managing Director, MSB Executive

Martyn Barmby is the Managing Director of communication specialists MSB Executive and leads their work in financial services. A respected public speaker, he regularly leads events for industry bodies in the UK and Europe, including Women in Banking and Finance, CFA Societies and the CAIA.

Having started his career specialising in change management programmes for blue-chip companies, in 2001 Martyn trained at the renowned East 15 acting school and followed a career on stage, film and television.

He combined his acting work with directorships at consultancy firms in the UK, US and France. He founded MSB Executive in 2008 to help financial services professionals communicate with clarity and impact.

Dan Whitehead, Founder, City Career LAB

Dan Whitehead is the founder of City Career LAB (a career coaching company focused on financial services) and has over 25 years of recruitment and senior HR experience - having led talent acquisition for Citi, Barclays Global Investors, BlackRock and two global Insurers.

Emilie West, Founder, Alchemy Coaching

Emilie is a career coach, professional speaker and author of the book 'Maximum You'. Passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their goals, Emilie draws on her extensive experience working in investment banking and personal development to achieve this. Emilie offers coaching and consulting services across a range of areas including health and wellbeing, leadership, brand and image, communication skills and emotional intelligence.

Emilie has 14 years Investment Banking experience most recently heading up the Leadership Development and Wellbeing programmes for RBS Corporate & Institutional Banking, transforming leadership and wellbeing for 1000+ staff where she was also Head of Personal Development for the RBS Women's network.

As well as holding a degree in Economics from Warwick University, Emilie graduated from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in 2006, is an accredited emotional intelligence practitioner and trained image consultant.
