Have you heard about impact accounting and valuation?

Tuesday 24 September 2024 | 13:00 - 14:00 | Webinar

This event has been organised by CFA UK's Sustainability Community.

Impact accounting is an emerging methodology that allows companies to translate ESG impact into the language of currency. This holistic approach greatly enhances company’s performance analysis.

Impact accounting and valuation is useful for both companies and investors seeking to manage sustainability – related risks, opportunities, and impacts.

Hear from our Sustainability Community member, Ronan Langford, CFA, Ernst & Young, Christian Heller, CEO, Value Balancing Alliance (BASF) and Dimitrij Euler, Head of Financial Markets, Value Balancing Alliance who will share insights on:

  • How impact accounting can influence capital allocation and help investors understand trade-offs
  • How to make information on impact actionable and comparable to financial performance

We will then meet in breakout rooms to discuss how an investment community can move to a broader consideration of impact and to a holistic outlook on performance, as well as an enhanced view of long – and short-term risks and opportunities.
