This event has been organised by the Career Management working group.
A portfolio of board memberships is something many executives aspire to once they have concluded their executive careers in the investment industry. There is a lot of contradictory information in the public domain about what it takes to win and deliver effectively on board roles. At the same time, the requirements and risks assumed by board directors and the amount of regulatory scrutiny they face is increasingly.
Having observed that the preparation for a board career starts quite some time in advance, Catherine Battershill, Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Funds Board Council, will share some of the things you can do to give yourself the most options in getting onto and thriving on fund boards. She will also talk about the career pathways that building those options might lead you along. A must attend for mid-career investors and leaders thinking about planning for the long-term.
Where recordings are made, these are a member benefit that are accessed through the member-only platform, CFA UK Discover.
