Grant Rudgley. Technical Director, Nature Finance BA, MA

Grant empowers banks, investment managers and insurers to integrate nature into their financial decision-making, service offerings and strategy.
 
Grant is a pioneer in the field of Nature Finance. At the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, he developed first-in-market approaches to nature-related financial risks, opportunities and engagement strategies through collaboration with financial institutions. He contributed to various key initiatives including TNFD, building methods and capacity for financial institutions to better understand and measure nature-related impacts and dependencies.
 
At The Biodiversity Consultancy, Grant provides highly practical and compelling approaches for banks, investment managers and insurers to embed nature in their businesses - to connect the financial world with the natural.  
 
Grant began his career at Chatham House, followed by analyst roles covering the energy sector and leadership roles in corporate finance and transfer pricing. He has taught sustainable finance at the University of Cambridge and political economy at King's College London, co-developing an 'International Politics of Energy' course over 15 years ago that explored systems change and pathways to a sustainable economy.
